About Austin Hagee
  • Austin M. Hagee is a San Antonio native and a trial lawyer who has taken a case to trial every year since he was licensed in 2016. He built his firm around a simple idea: keep the caseload small, keep the client informed, and prepare every case as if a jury will decide it.
  • Austin began his career as a Felony Assistant District Attorney for Bexar County, where he tried and litigated hundreds of cases involving driving while intoxicated, family-violence assault, burglary, theft, drug possession, evading arrest, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and criminal mischief. That time on the other side of the courtroom is the foundation of how he defends clients now. He knows how the State decides to charge a case, how it values one, and where its evidence tends to fall apart.
  • After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Austin worked as an associate at a large civil litigation firm, representing Fortune 500 companies in business, insurance defense, and Deceptive Trade Practices Act matters in state and federal court. He brings that investigative discipline to every criminal case, digging into the file before the State expects it.
  • Austin’s approach has led to more than 350 dismissals for his clients. He graduated from UTSA’s Honors College and attended St. Mary’s University School of Law on a Dean’s scholarship, where he was inducted into the Order of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi, competed on the National Negotiations Team, and wrote for the law review, The Scholar.
  • Outside the courtroom, Austin serves on the board of the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, belongs to the local William S. Sessions American Inn of Court, and attends Cornerstone Church. He is happily married and cheers on UTSA and the San Antonio Spurs.
